This will be a dual CD release for HIP-HOP and R&B artist. The HIP-HOP and R&B Mix Tapes will be released during the first quarter (January and February) of 2012 and will target industry A&R representatives, online and satellite radio music directors, and street level record pools. The mix tapes will be used as a vehicle to get your music to people who are looking for new and unique sounds. The Minutes of Madness Mix Tape series is a showcase of underground talent from across the United States and abroad. Created in 1996 by djSpade1, The Minutes of Madness gave local unsigned artist 60 seconds to flow over industry beats while djSpade1 hosted and blended the songs. Artist who appeared on the Minutes of Madness mix tape were promoted along with the CD and received further opportunities to perform and build their reputations on the street. Today, The Minutes of Madness Underground Showcase continues to highlight unsigned artist, but instead of 60 seconds of hardcore freestyles, were deploying complete songs from artist you would not hear on commercial radio. The latest release, Minutes of Madness 7, contained 25 tracks and is currently in circulation around the United States and on several websites and online distribution channels. Artist who have exclusively appeared on the Minutes of Madness mix tape include Skillz, Jazze Phae, Section 8 Mob, The Real Jay Mac, That Boy Goldy, Lonnie B and Danja Mowf, Bigg Will, Ant Live, Young Miz, and a hundreds more. The Mix Tape is being promoted online via social networking sites, YouTube (we shoot 3 music videos to promote), Posters, Flyers, Radio, and Television. Each Minutes of Madness release produces 2,500 hard CD copies for street promotion, and available for download at several mix tape sites. Artists who are selected will receive 10 free copies of the mix tape to either sell or give away. More copies will be available at discounted rates for artists to distribute to their listening base. Total ReverbNation Songs Guaranteed: 40 Do I get anything for submitting if I am not selected? If you’re not selected, your music will be forwarded to several DJ’s and online radio shows affiliated with djSpade1 and Soulblazing.com. You can also request feedback and djSpade1 or one of his affiliates will respond with creative suggestions to make the next cut. Everyone who enters the submission will get a free download of the completed project in 2012. Anything else the Artists should know about?
