Thank you https://shinymusic.co.uk/sarahs-media-gigs/thank-you/ https://shinymusic.co.uk/sarahs-media-gigs/thank-you/#respond Sun, 09 Jan 2011 15:22:25 +0000 http://topvocalcoach.com/thank-you/ Thanks for all the nice birthday wishes, I had a lovely day. Went to one of my best buddies for breakfast blt’s Mmmmm yum yum. And one of my other best buddies made me lunch! Can’t be bad, I’m being spoiled.

In case you’re wondering I’m 43 or is it 34? I’ve decided I’m a bit dyslexic – when it suits me. A bit worried about next year though coz two fours read the same whichever way round you look at them. Age is nothing to worry about in itself, it’s how you feel that counts and your state of mind.

I’m excited about 2011, gonna get some more cruises, I can feel it in my bones and really excited about my new band- the Loones of Tune!!! All fab stuff. My music career mentoring course is also catching on so things looking rosy.

So happy birthday to me and happy new year to you all.
Don’t forget enjoy your talent!

Can singing make you live longer? https://shinymusic.co.uk/lessons/vocal-coach-singing-lessons-2/ https://shinymusic.co.uk/lessons/vocal-coach-singing-lessons-2/#respond Sun, 02 Jan 2011 16:12:22 +0000 http://topvocalcoach.com/vocal-coach-singing-lessons/ Often when I am doing a gigg, I tease my audience about how singing is good for arthritis. I say it’s been clinically proven but I’m not sure it has. In any case the mere fact that they think it could be a possibility, makes them laugh and feel better straight away. As an entertainer I think my job is not only to entertain the guests / audience but to take them on an emotional journey through sad songs, songs that bring back good memories, songs that they can join in to and sing along with. All this will keep them engaged with what I am delivering, distracting them from the norm, perhaps the mundane routine of everyday life and because the interactions make them feel strong emotions, I conclude based on the feedeback that I have had over 20 years of performing live for countless audiences, that YES I personally do believe that singing can prolong life or if not, at least make what life we have a lot more enjoyable. You’ve got a great voice but haven’t really got lots of time and/ or cash to invest in your talent.

It’s such a shame! If you don’t take action now, you’ll end up old and wrinkly saying ‘when i was young I had a great voice’, secretly wishing you had actually done something for yourself for a change, instead of being left with regrets.
